Dear Universe is a small website that does one thing: it helps you keep an appointment with yourself. (It began in Vietnam under the name Hẹn Vũ Trụ, "a date with the universe".) You write down something you want, pick a date, and on that day we email you a simple question: did it happen?

No account, no app to install. Just one sentence, one date and one promise.

Why a date matters

Most goals do not fail because we are lazy. They fail because they have nowhere to come back to. A wish in your head fades within weeks. A sentence written down, with a date and someone asking about it, becomes an appointment.

When the day arrives you have to answer honestly: it happened, partly happened, or it has not happened yet. Whatever the answer, you now have real information to decide what to do next. We explain the idea in set goals with a deadline.

How it works

  1. Write one sentence (up to 140 characters), like "By August I get into my first-choice university."
  2. Pick a date. Quick buttons offer 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year.
  3. Choose a card style. A live preview shows your card as you type.
  4. Leave your email. Nothing to confirm. It is only used to write to you on your date.
  5. On the day, the universe emails you. You report the result, write a few lines to yourself and get a short reply.

A card you can keep and share

Every promise comes with a shareable card in 17 styles, from a movie ticket, a boarding pass, a postcard and a till receipt to quiet pastel designs. Download it, post it, or send it to a friend who can check on you.

Private by default, public if you want

Your manifest is private unless you choose otherwise. If you opt in, it appears on the Universe Feed as an anonymous mascot among thousands of stars. Your email is never shown, and you can delete everything at any time.

What Dear Universe does not promise

We do not claim the universe will make your wish come true. We help you name what you want, set a checkpoint and look back honestly. If it did not happen, that is information, not failure. Read more in manifestation without the magic.

Ready? Write your first manifest. One sentence is enough.

Try writing your own manifest
